When it comes to good looking trinkets that don’t actual do much, it’s hard to top reality TV superstar Kim Kardashian, and an actual Bitcoin BTC “coin”. The former gained fame and notoriety – not from her great acting or hit records – but from being her pretty but totally talentless self in Keeping Up With The Kardashians each week. The latter is a symbol of a currency that exists in cyber space, and whose coins are good looking – but useless.
“Keeping Up With The Kardashians” is a reality TV show based on the extravagant lives of the late Robert Kardashian’s wife and children. Robert Kardashian was one of the very best defense attorneys in the business, and proved as much by getting OJ Simpson of a double-murder rap. His wife and children are basically attractive airheads that stumble from one car-crash situation to another week-upon-week. Throw in the fact that the mother remarried to none other than 1976 Olympian-come-transsexual icon Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner, and you have a hit TV show that earns them all millions.
As for Bitcoin, it exist in many facets, online, in a digital wallet, but not in the form of an actual coin. Bitcoin coins and manufactured for and sold to people who either wish to have something tangible to help quantify their actual Bitcoin holdings, or as a novelty to fool or impress people with.
Incidentally, Kim’s husband, RnB icon Kanye West is himself an avowed Bitcoin fan, and is pictured above, getting in on the act with his very own BTC coin.

This past weekend, Kim Kardashian, as well as several members of her extended family including Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner were attending the first of what looks set to be an annual event, the City Of Hope Charity Poker Tournament, when she was spotted by Mathew Roszak, CEO and co-founder of Bloq, a very successful block-chain based startup company. Roszak is known to the general public for three things; one, he’s a regular beanpole – not sure how tall but he’s always looking down at people (in every sense), two, he’s a billionaire and three, he loves giving famous people their “First Bitcoin.”
Even though his targets rarely look overjoyed to be in receipt of such of such a “blessing”, Roszak has successfully Bitcoin-punked Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Richard Branson (pictured). However, if 45-year old Roszak wishes to raise his profile with the younger generation, introducing Mrs. Kanye West to cryptocurrency may have done the trick. While Kim’s Twitter account shows a very respectable 58 million followers, she is hardly known for her profound quotations. People want to see what Kim is wearing (or not as the case may be) and that is reflected in her 114 million Instagram followers, the fifth highest in the world.
So, if would Kim care to retweet or even Instagram her recent Bitcoin experience, the effect on the crypto market might be profound – at least for a while. Thus far – on inspection of said accounts – she’s yet to post a pic of her appearance at the City Of Hope Charity Poker Tournament, but all might not be lost:
The Kardashian and Jenner clan’s trip to the City Of Hope Charity Poker Tournament – complete with Kim’s first Bitcoin – was filmed, and so could yet feature on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians later this year!
